For a good port and polish I can recommend Lynn Rogers Automotive in Howick. Lynn is one the best head men in the country, doing many race engines. I know my own engine has more power (through on-track acceleration and top speed) than other similarly configured engines, which I can only attribute to differences in head work.

The Nb 1800 already has the best head setup of all the mx-5's so i would look elsewhere for power. extractors/megasquirt ecu and some irtb's would be the way to go before pulling down the engine.

Im going to be adding itbs, +2mm pistons, con rods, performance camshafts and a new ecu so i thought a good port and polish might be in order when i pull the head apart
