Who out there has any dealings with Japaneses made
FREEDOM ECU's ,or know any useful information about them ?
We have one come thru work (Mazline) with a Motor and Box combo.
Can't tell you too much about the motor at this stage ,apart from it was a running car in japan with a hairy idle,Nice stainless exhaust from head to tail pipe,No AFM on the car,Funny looking Fuel reg on the injector rail as well.
Might pull the cam cover off to check the cams next week.

Any thoughts.....or interest.

Hairy idle??

check that it has a heated O2 sensor fitted. if not then fit one

most people who fit stainless headers have idle issues due to the exhaust gasses cooling too much before they hit the o2 sensor.

Hi Brownie
Looks like the biggest issue would be the tuning as everything is Japanese and no translated english program.

gday Brownie - I s'pose you've seen this? http://translate.google.com/translate?j ... l=ja&tl=en

I'd guess the ECU is tuned to whatever spec the engine is in... hairy idle sounds like hairy cams :D
