YAY! 3 YEARS OF TURBOFICATION.

Post by SLYDIT » Sun Jan 25, 2009 3:04 pm

It's been 3 years since i added the turbo to SLYDIT, and what a time it has been,
I essentially havent touched a thing on it mechanically since adding the turbo, but have done a few little things to the tuning and setup, but ive had a trouble free run.:)

THE GOOD:
1) Seeing the faces of V8 drivers as you give themn a big hurry up! :D
2) Being able to pass long lines of traffic safely
3) Fuel consumption on cruise mode has actually IMPROVED! And combined driving is only about 10% worse than pre-turbo.
4)being as reliable as any other car ive owned if not better.

THE BAD:
1)Having that uneasy feeling that the Diff is about to let go at any moment.
2) Not being able to drive it as much as i want to.
3)Getting used to the power and thus wanting to turn the boost up even more.

Now my mind moves to other things like the need for new paint on the old girl so it shows as well as it goes. and if anyone has a 1600 diff lying around that they dont mind giving away let me know. :)
