Supercharger and fuel economy

Post by DBM58 » Fri May 26, 2006 12:08 pm

I would be interested to hear what sort of fuel economy others are achieving in (NZ) cars fitted with a supercharger. Both around town and on the open road. I manage about 320km per tank around town.

hmm, well turbo here ... a shade over 10 km/l thrashing around town = 480km from a tank.

Divide kms by litres next time you fill up... the tank has nearly 10 litres left when on the lowest mark so it's conservative, not accurate!

JR supercharger at 6lb, taking it easy, and not using boost too much about 10L / per 100km of mixed town and motoway, 30+L / per 100km on the track.

Last time I spoke to David was a couple or three months back & he was looking at getting an ECU, not sure if he did. That was about the same time I got my Greddy Blue.

30 L/100km is sure sucking through it, I thought I'd done well getting my standard Mk1 to 16.1 L/100km on track!
