Is it simple to change clutch/fly wheels? I guess it's time consuming and you need the right equipment?

Looking at a workshop manual it doesnt seem like too much of a big job, will just take a while.
Have been told to get the flywheel ground for the new clutch so will have to take it into work with me as i work across the road from franklin cams.

Looks like a basic spanner set would almost be enough to do the change

Nice. By all accounts aligning it is the hard part

siren676....Looks like a basic spanner set would almost be enough to do the change

And a decent socket set with universal socket plus extra extension bars to reach up to the top Bell-housing bolts!

Probably a power bar too if it hasn't been off for awhile.

And dont forget to do the rear crank oil seal!

And a torque wrench for re-installation of everything.

Should i grab an alignment tool to help with the install?

Can do but its no biggie if you dont have the alignment tool..i use a socket or something similar...sometimes you fluke just by eyeing it!

If you want to keep your oil in the gearbox then there is a special plug that goes in the end of the gearbox or use an old drive shaft front yoke to plug it otherwise oil pours out everywhere and all over your Sunday best! :D

Want to change the oil anyway as i dont know the service history of the car.

When doing the clutch in my starlet i eyeballed it and the gearbox went straight on so mustn't be too bad at it
