NC engine swap into NA?

Post by Badcat » Sat May 19, 2012 8:22 am

has this been done?
is it easy?
not sure what the engine in my NA is like (and going by my experience of the previous owner's mechanical aptitude, i have concerns).
i would rather go for a very low mileage 2.0 than a turbo.
discuss.

Easier, cheaper and comparable (though slightly less) power to go with a late 1.8 swap.

not worth the hassle.
fit an 1800 engine or even a factory 1800 turbo engine. the NC engine has he intake/exhaust on diffeternt sides of the engine also.
by the time you spent shit loads on engine/gearbox/ECU and then at least 4 grand to fit it you could easily have a very tidy 98-2000 RS NB instead.
