Hi
My NA has had the Cat cut out (together with the flanges to the adjacent pipe) and a resonator has been installed. The car sounds like a bucket of bolts. Horrible. THe rear muffler is standard.
Can anyone suggest a suitable replacement for the resonsator which provides a decent tone? Also any suggestions on an aftermarket muffler? Is there any gains in replacing?
Many thanks

I have taken the cat out and put in an expansion box/resonator. I have gone to 2 1/4" pipe and replaced the rear muffler with a std V8 Commodore one as they flow quite well.
Sounds good when it is warm but a little "tinny" when cold (As they all do).
