I decided to visit some of the museums etc on the 2008 trip that I hadn't been able to get to when I lived there. So, I went and had a look at the Mazda Museum and factory as well as the Toyota Museum.
The Mazda Museum/tour was great and included a look at the production line. Interestingly the line was mixed so as we were walking around we saw an MX5 next to a Mazda 3 next to a RX8....unfortunately taking photos was prohibited in this part but I do have some pics from the museum which I've pasted below.
