If you have the problem of cleaning brake pad dust off your nice wheels sussed, read no further....

My MX5 has always been well maintained so no problems there, however I have been trying to clean up a real mess on the wheels of my daughter's car, especially the front ones.

I hesitated to buy the stuff designed to do the job because after considering the stuff I had tried I couldn't see anything else working...I was wrong.

I bought a spray on product from Repco named Prestone, made in USA. It was the cheapest thay had at $9-99 and it worked a treat. I didn't use their recommended method of spray on and hose off but applied it, left it briefly then cleaned it with a rag, probably took me 20 minutes to do the job. I have no doubt that any other product of this type containing Sodium Alkyl Sulfate will do the job. It also shone up the MX5, 2 cars done with about 9/10ths of the bottle left.
