Auto Log In???

Is this function to speed up logging in?. I always tick the box but have to fill in username and password each time I visit. I read the FAQ which says it stops being logged out after preset time. This function is working with my connection but still need to load details each visit. I do not use a shared comp but it is however running via a work server through 3G network. It would be great if my connection activated automatically on each visit. My connection is slow enough as it is let alone having to wait at least another minute to connect.

always seems to work for me - firefox browser. Just clicked and was logged in... not done exhaustive tests with other users though
