Cant attach pics

Hey moderators/forum administrator....i see my upload quota is nearly 100% full!

Is this why i cant add any more pics?

If so how can it be rectified?

Is that for pictures in the Garage section or for posting in threads?

For posting in threads, I just upload them to imgur.com and direct link them here with the 'Img' BB code tags.

But for the Garage theres obviously no way to do that

image hosting sites are good, but sometimes they delete your images after a certain time period. When I am researching something, I personally hate it when you find a relevant thread that explains it all, only to find that all the images are dead links

I would love them to increase the allocated space for users so that we could have the images hosted here (bear in mind that only a small percentage would use such an allocation, but they tend to be the posters who you are interested in what they have to share)

I could understand if cost is an issue, I don't pay the forum hosting fees and I am grateful that someone does so we have this place to share information and ideas

Just make an account on http://imgur.com. You can upload something like 225 images before older ones start to get hidden, and the images stay on there forever if they get at least 1 view every 6 months, which you can give yourself. Or you can pay for the pro service which gets rid of all that.

Images will show up in your posts like this:

I do the same load to Imgur then to the forum from there super easy to use too!

I wonder, if you could set up a fake public FaceBook account and simply link images from that?

Facebook lowers image quality a lot, and doesn't upload full size.

But if they allowed direct linking/embedding then it might work.

Facebook image URIs may be even less dependable than services like Imgur.

just quadrupled it for you... just PM me if needed in future... none of the mods seem to be listening... (luckily the other admin was)

I do not seem able tooled pics in the garage section. I access my garage and hit Manage Gallery. There is a box which says YOu May Attach Image. Beside this is a box saying Choose File. This isnot highlighted but can still be read just. Below is a box says Add New Image. If I hit Add New Image the topbar o screen goes blue back to white and nothing happens. I have done several posts so have passé 10 posts. Have been trying since joining but still same thing happens.
When I try to load a pic in a thread I also get a blue bar and hen back to zilch. Even my daughter could not get a result.
Anyone got some clues at all please???
What are these HTML on And BB code on things for? Are these related to pics. I'm off to get a bourbon. I know how to open the fridge?

I still can not seem to load pics. Is there someone in AK that could spare me some time perhaps one day to show me the correct procedure????
I have a 3G I Pad and a company vehicle. I am prepared to travel so this can be resolved.... I sent a PM to moderator but it appears that the message did not send or stay in my system. I can not see any trace of it in either sent box or others..... A picture says a thousand words. This ability will allow me to reduce my verbal spiels.

When you are in the garage section the top left should show your car details..hit the link and up should come more details about your car in the middle top of the screen.
Here it should say "manage gallery" so hit this and then it will allow you to browse for images and load them.
It also tells you the max file size.
You can also load pics via the "modifications" part in the same middle screen section as mentioned above.
Are your pics in a format that it doesnt recognise?...i always use "j-peg"

Cheers wideopenthrottle... I have been to manage gallery but not all the options highlight. I wrote this in another thread which probably should have been under new heading. The choose file option does not highlight. The screen blinks and stays empty... Will google BBcode.... Not sure about file types. I'm of the older NON COMP SAVVy generation. All I know is it's an apple I Pad. ...will read comments in detail later at home and try all suggestions. Sorry to be a nuisance to thread readers.... You don't know till you do know though.
