I gather its a case of meet at the BK carpark at 9am. So if you see a red mx with the plate 'MX5 90' lurking then don't be alarmed if the driver comes up and says hi

I think it would be pretty sweet to roll up in a group =)

I think we should all try be there at 9 so we can convoy out at 9:30, I'll probably get there at 8:30 knowing my luck with Auckland traffic

pretty sure we will have a decent group of us going

I will be there at Burger King hopefully by 9 but being low has proven to make me late for everything haha

Am I right in assuming the albany BK is at:
140 Don Mckinnon Dr, Albany Mega Centre?

and has anyone received any emails from the automania ppl?
I received a confirmation email when I first registered, but that email mentioned another email approx 1 week from the even and a further email a few days from the event and I have received neither..

I also didn't receive a confirmation of payment (I did a funds transfer at the time of registering so they would have received it the next day)

anyone else not heard anything?

The online registration is open until tonight at 8pm so i think they will go through all the entries and payments tomorrow then email everyone

Automania 2013 Competitors Brief:

Firstly we want to say Thank you for attending the show, we have put together as much as we possibly can to bring what we feel is the best automotive festival you will attend all year!

When you arrive if you want to park with your club or mates you all need to arrive together, Hooton reserve is less than 500 meters away from the stadium and would be the ideal spot to meet up beforehand. If you have not paid please make sure you have cash with you we do not have eftpos facilities on the gate.

Please make sure you reverse your car into the space, once you have parked up feel free to setup any display you may have brought with you. If you have a Gazebo there is plenty of grass to setup on close to the RC track. If you remove your bonnett be sure to put it safely behind the car out of the way of everything.

There will be food available from multiple outlets all day, please do not bring any Alcohol, Dogs or BBQ’s as stadium rules do not allow it.

If you are planning to have your car washed in the bikini car wash please park up in the show first, and then go and check in with the team that are running that attraction. Any cars that are getting washed cannot be moved through the car show without an escort from that particular team. Due to obvious public safety reasons.

Once you have entered the car show and parked up you cannot move your car until after the prize giving has ended, approx 4:30pm (there is a very large crowd in attendance and at no times can cars be moved until the show is over)

Be sure to head over to the Platinum Wheels Trade stand and VOTE in the Peoples Choice car of the day, at the prize giving we will be drawing out one lucky name who will walk away with a brand new set of wheels and tyres thanks to Advanti racing and Platinum Wheels!

1000 Show Opens to Public - Live entertainment starts
1100 Synagy Sound System - With MC Mas
1200 Car in Hell Round 1
1300 Miss Bikini Automania Round 1
1400 Car in Hell Round 2
1500 Muay Thai Demonstration
1530 Miss Bikini Automania Final
1600 Prize Giving
1630 Show Closes

You can also check out the following attractions throughout the day.

The NZ Blokes Bikini Carwash Zone
The RCS remote control zone at the track, If you have your RC Car feel free to bring it along for the day.
Priority One Fitness Zone and Truck Pulling Competition - Register your interest in the morning for this!

Standing Fierce Game Zone - Street fighter 2 tournaments + much more

...and a fun day was had by all!

pity the weather was shit for a while but it was a good day, well organized, lots of sweet rides and it was good to meet some of you

considering I would normally have been at work, today was a fun change from my usual schedule

Was a sweet day aside from the occasional shower. Music was cranking all day and the car in hell was a real crowd pleaser when they replaced the oil with demon energy drink and sat it on the limiter.

Was good chatting with MrGrey and a heap of other people at the show.
