Ugh, everyone wants their building consents in before Christmas which means I get hounded by architects and project managers constantly these days... Sadly they don't realise that council don't care and wont' look at it until January anyway

(I'm an engineer, not a council worker before any of you start hating)

Of course they do, even though no builder is going to be around since they down tools and scarper for the holidays. I get the same thing, on a weekly basis, everything becomes dead urgent on a Friday at about 4pm

Actually now that you mention it, it does for me too but I usually pick up a beer by then and start promising the world to them by saying it'll be to them either that night or over the weekend. Usually ends with them by Tuesday the following week

Just more so now that people are thinking of Christmas... If anyone reading this wants engineering stuff designed, do it in the middle of Christmas

you get it quick and have it built by Christmas

I really should just man up I guess

Haha council consent nobody gets consent my flatmate is a builder and he says he has worked on more sites without consent than with
