91 or 96?

Post by Bill Rehm » Thu Feb 24, 2005 8:37 pm

Grant's message raised a question. Does 96 give you better petrol
mileage than 91?

Based on my drive-about 0f 7,500 kms I'd say yes

91 or 96?

Post by Grant » Thu Feb 24, 2005 9:19 pm

I have a log of fuel useage since I bought the car 2.5 years ago. I have
done 56,000km in that time and the last almost 10,000km on 96. My results
are therefore quite accurate for my (auto) car.
I haven't as yet tried advancing the timing to 14 degrees. Will be
interesting to see what effect that has.
Grant.

Fill up with 98 from BP Express and forget the cost - just enjoy the
extra performance.

Not if they are increasing their price an extra 6 cents per litre over
everyone else!
