Thanks to Mike Saint I now have new second-hand KYB shocks
(non-adjustable) and Eibach springs on my '91 MX5.
I got Maclennan's in Wellington to fit them for me and do the alignment.
The technician Greg warned me that "the suspension is very firm now".
The good news is that it's actually more compliant than the cut springs
and standard shocks that were on it when I got it. I'm hoping I'll be
able to go around corners without having to worrying about imperfections
making the rear-end skitter out.
I was surprised that the car has ended up slightly lower than it was
before - I had thought it was already rather low! I had a little drive
on the Miramar test track and the front mud-guards were scraping a
little bit.
Any recommendations for or against removing the mud-guards?
