Post by Mike Jolley » Tue Jan 25, 2005 1:49 pm

Do you mean you want the rear brace under he car???not std on earlier models.
check old forum re no w.o.f. with some cold air inductions.i have style bars
but believe the behind the seat bracing wont be in the way of your tonneau
cover with folded down roof. good luck with the new toy will see you at an
event some time, Good to see your minister of finance backing you. Mike

Thanks for the comments re the W.O.F b I will keep an eye out for that.

With the bracing b I am putting in the under floor bracing (already ordered) b it was additional bracing that fits across the trunk (imaging a strut brace in the boot and you have the idea).

Cannot wait to get to an event b the car has mx5 club stickers from several years b so I best keep adding them.

#1 - seems to do something on mine ('96 NZ model), car wobbles like
jelly without it!

#2 - if you have a search for "beatrush rear brace" on miataforum.com
you'll find some reviews. I'm kinda on the fence on this one - but if
you find it improves things let us know!! Anything which makes it a
bit more skiddy at the back can't be all bad :D

Other stiffening mods (ooer) might include a hardtop, real rollbar,
seam welding and that chassis foam stuff. It's getting a bit OTT by
this point !

HTH,
Jeff
