Hi,
I'm wondering how the bookings for the Driver Training day at Manfield are
going.
Is there room for a little one?

Cheers
Colin

You're asking the wrong people... I think there might be a few places
left, but a reminder went out this week to members by mail, so they may
have gone quickly.

Contact Keith (Northern events guy) or Willie (Club Pres).
Contacts here: http://www.mx5club.org.nz/committee/

I booked. I was sort of expecting some sort of confirmation by now.

Thomas.

Please excuse if I have double posted - (blimmin email)

Well summers here - so I did the sensible thing and went and brought (my
third) MX5. Managed to find a beautiful model in absolutely mint
condition on the mx5club site - a silver '90 with (verified) 29,000 km,
sports exhaust, unblemished alloys (excluding one small scratch fixed
for $80).

Unfortunately the suspension is a bit 'not quite right' so I have
ordered adjustable Koni's with King springs.

Being a '90 of course it is lacking in the bracing area a little (well a
lot). I have ordered front and rear sub frame bracing, but I am
confused when it comes to tightening up the rear end.

The two options I see are:

1) A brace unit that goes behind the seats on the parcel shelf - I
would prefer to leave this area free as I want the car to remain looking
standard - and this also limits me being able to put the cover over the
soft-top when it is down.

2) A bracing unit that is fitted within the boot (see
http://www.mx5mania.com/suspension.htm)

I am familiar with the first option but would like to have views on the
second.

It has been a good day - I managed to 'squeeze in' a cold air intake and
a small diameter Momo steering wheel when my boss (Mrs T) approved the
capex budget.

We have moved!
