Hi there, Ive got good brakes both sides but '0' on LHS handbrake and
RHS is fine..could the cable or mechanism be frozen? Surely not in
BOP!!! Would CRC free it up, don't want to dismantle it unless
necessary.ideas?

It could be a dodgy slider pin, are they well greased?

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.
Handbrake only works on one side
No don't think so, I put some CRC on it and gave the slider pin and the
'barrel' a gentle knock with hammer and it free up some and then worked
the brake on and off and this has pretty much fixed the problem.is there
a grease point/nipple for it? Went back and had it tested today and it
passed WOF so has kind of fixed problem but think if I could get some
grease in it would be even better..ideas?

Aughghghgghg more CRC / WD40 solutions ! . it's a degreaser not a lubricant

You can get proper grease to suit car brakes from most auto supply stores.

I'll second that, I blew up a two stroke Jet Ski engine up about 10 years ago
by using CRC before I stored it - Thinking it was a lubricant, but in actual
fact it was washing away the lubricant, then we get corrosion and poor lube on
initial start and then we get BANG and they we lose $$$$$$$$$$$$$$.
CRC for clean-up but not for lube, secondly as it's a reasonable penetrating
oil, avoid use around seals as if it gets through the seal, it will break down
any grease on the other side.
