Just read on the big forum that cosworth are doing
parts for the "duratec" engines that power all the new
mazdas and fords. So what can you get??
Forged pistons and rods, cranks, valves, heads...the
list goes on.
They even do complete ready built 250Hp and 350 odd HP
engines ready to go...
Oh and the price?? JUst 11,000 pounds for the 350 Hp
version!!! :>
Still, you could go and raid the parts bin to build an
awesome Targa car!!

Have you looked on this site??
http://members.aol.com/solomiata/MiataVLSD.html
Theres some info there about diff ratios... seems
like the only options are 3.9 and 3.6 from the late
model(99+) 5 and 6 speed.
I hate to ask if youve tried youre local mazda dealer.
but you could also go to "trussville mazda" via the
link on Miata.net as they are the cheapest place in
the states for mazda parts.
It appears that most of the 7" diffs from about "79
onwards are interchangable with ring and pinion sets.

thanks Glenn. I found this page which sorta kinda implies that it''s
compatible, but it's probably going to be one of those trial-and-error
scenarios, compounded by varying country specs ...
