Import Dates / Manufactured Dates

MessageHi all,
Here is some' useless info ' with manufacture info.
Chassis No.NA6 CE 100021 was the first MX5 in 1989.
There were 621 MX5's exported to Australia ( & NZ ) in 1989. NZ was not listed
as a country for these exports back then. Some of these came to NZ. I have a
89 Jap Import with Chassis No 101942 so mine may have been in the first month
of production as there were 34,021 made in the year.
All this and other great info is in the book 'Mazda Miata' by Brian Long.

My NZ new MX5 has VIN number 100926, manufactured in Dec 89, I believe
