world record

Hi
I just had an idea that may be useful.
There are lots of MX5s out there not in the club. It would be great to get
them into this record attempt as well.
I have printed the notice off the club site and will put it on as any MX5
windscreens that I can and hope to attract more participants to the event as
well as targeting potential new club members too.

What an incredible opportunity just to partake, even if it does not make a
world record it may be the only opportunity most of us have to be involved in
a fairly decent attempt at one. And I agree with Bill (AKA William)
Manukau??? might as well start in Taupo :-)

Also Great Idea Ian, I will do the same.

Any chance of the committee hitting up Mazda (as they get the advertising, you
can guarantee for them this is all about free advertising for the new MX5) for
a hundred plus T shirts (max one per car) for club members who attend with
"World record etc etc"... This will also be a good thing for our club
advertising wise.

But at least this may make it more attractive for some members to come up from
Hamil-town etc which is certainly good.

And committee members please note the almost reasonable event start time,
10am, not 8:30 or 9:30 although 11 would have been better...

we can possibly get more of the advertising flyers that Mazda printed if
you wanted to distribute some. Or you can wait to get yours in the post
(if you are a club member...) and copy it.

I suggest you contact Frans, he has a bunch ready to be posted:

Also, don't forget to print out a Spotted form as well and put it on the
window at the same time ;)

I changed my mind (again) and have started a dyi turbo setup.

I have purchased a HKS manifold (cast), t-28 turbo, intercooler, bov,
440 injectors and have someone to fabricate the appropriate piping etc.

My question is in regard to the aftermarket ECU to run the thing - I
know that FM use the Link, but I don't really like it - have others any
experience with other makes that they would be happy to share? Budget
for this part is iro 2k - so I know that I cannot look at the top of the
range toys.
