I mean you only have to look at and MG and and MX5 and it is obvious which

while the manual steering rack isn't as quick (ratio) as the assisted
one, you'll have less weight over the nose of the car, ditto for the
AC. Should make for a better feel at the wheel.

The NZ models have speedos that go past 180km/h too :) Mine ('96 NZ
new) has travelled over 160k km and still runs like a top !

The JDM ones do tend to have more goodies tho (AC, ltd slip diffs,
chrome bits, leather etc)

The NB computer drives the dash cluster (unlike the NA which is
mechanical/analog) so you'll want to try it before you accept it - you
probably have a 180km/h speedo. The NB ecu also controls the
alternator's voltage regulator.

Mazda also tended to change the ecu plugs around every couple of
years, so that's another thing to watch out for.

Don't think you'd magically gain any power - unlike VTECs or turbo
Nissans, Japanese Mazdas aren't tuned for 98RON octane AFAIK...
