Playstation 2 car games

Post by poison » Tue Jun 14, 2005 8:19 pm

Hi all,

Has anyone got/played
"Need for speed underground 2" and/or "Midnight Club 3- Dub edition"?

If so please help, I can't decide which to buy, and please correct me if I'm
wrong but as far as I'm aware...

"Need for speed underground 2" has a Miata as one of it's cars which makes the
game more attractive (although it's a yuppie NB late 90's one, not a real down
to earth NA model) and the game has received a lot of accolades.

But "Midnight Club 3- Dub edition" allows you to drift the cars and has more
options of cars and bling accessories but alas no Miata. I read that the old
version2 was hard to use without hours of practice, is Ver3 the same or
better?

Any thoughts would be good as to playability etc. Also drifting is a pretty
important feature.

Cheers

HI Gazza

Not first hand but my boys have Need for Speed Underground 2 and have played
Midnight Club 3. Drifting is available on Need for Speed and they reckon
there is a reasonable amount of bling as well. Re the Miata, it was 15 year
olds favourite car for a while and he had it going very quick.

Although they have only played Midnight Club a couple of times they felt it
may have had the edge on Need for Speed. One thing that they liked was that
you could use side roads and create your own routes to some extent.

Cheers

NFSU2 is the game I recommend as you can drift in the DRIFT events and the
mods you can do to the mx5 is awesome
