Cleaning Rear Plastic Window

"Autoglym Resin Polish" will clean the sticky off your window, it'll clear the fog from all of those tiny scratches and it'll allow the water to run off too. Then, when you've used it for your window, you can use it on your paintwork. It's used at the Aston Martin factory in Newport Pagnell, UK, on all of the new cars as they leave the factory and it has a Royal warrant. I wouldn't use anything else on my 5, and those who've seen my car can testify to it's nice shine. It's available in Auckland from a place in Albany, I'll try and remember the name of the place.
Don't waste your money buying a product you'll use only once when this stuff will do the job you need and is the best polish available (IM and Aston's HO :0)

Cheers

I'm seeking advice on what members have found is best for cleaning the rear plastic window. Mine is very cloudy and difficult to see out. I don't want to attack it with a harsh cleaning product in case I make it worse.
Appreciate advice.

Cleaning Rear Plastic Window

Post by Keith Smith » Thu Jun 09, 2005 12:43 pm

A little off the topic of cleaning... the new glass rear is
brilliant. Got the top on my NA replaced at Christmas by Al. The car
has a nice new feel to it, I can see out the back, and best of all...
the car doesn't smell like a wet dog anymore after a rain shower. I'd
recommend putting the glass in if you have to replace the top. For an
extra $100 you'll be laughing.

Hi Ken
it's apparently available from
Ken Stout Motors
113 Diana Drive
in Glenfield
09 4449290
http://www.ksmjaguar.co.nz/

I've still got my 'stock' from the UK, so haven't bought any from them. I imagine it might be a bit expensive, but I think it's probably worth the extra :0)

cheers
