Swap meet anyone?
Rather intrigued by your website Garry. I see there is a category to
buy a body.I am a 46 year old male. I am more than satisfied with the
body of my MX5, even more satisfied with the body of my beautiful
partner, but would dearly love to replace my body. If anyone has one in
better trim, or less marks than mine... the constant panel beating has
created all sorts of ripples in the once smooth finish. I would like to
extend my congratulations to Garry for this fine service for all MX5 owners.

Swap meet anyone?
HI Everyone,
I don't know much about cars, but my Roadster is making a grinding noise
from what I think is the rear - it dose not do it when I am in high speed
only when doing 50kms or lower. Brake pads look ok - there is no play in
the rear bearings, should there be? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
before I let the mechanics take advantage of me!!
Thanks
Janette

That's a pretty good idea Garry, and a simple useable site. If it takes off,
I would think a link from our site would not be a bad idea

Swap meet anyone?
Hey Garry
Good on ya for making the effort, but we should all be supporting the one on
our club web site? and it's free.
Main site : http://www.mx5club.org.nz click on the large for sale sign on the
right, or the drop down menu, or the For Sale plate on the left... it's all
too easy.
For Sale: http://www.mx5club.org.nz/forsale/
Wanted: http://www.mx5club.org.nz/forsale/wanted/

Hey Gazza,
Yes you are right but what i couldnt find was how to put something up on it so
i figured like other clubs it had to be submitted, however looking again a
have found it but its sure not easy to find, perhaps whoever looks after the
site could look at making it a little more visable.

Good on ya anyway, but I must admit I'd not noticed the "Wanted to buy"
section before.

zorruno, Send me your address (off list) and I will send the EBC's up to
you so you can try them for yourself.
The reason I think a swap meet has its place (rather than using the
website) is that a lot of the stuff I have is either heavy or large (or
both) like springs or brake components (which isn't worth the freight
costs it would take to send to anyone)or little miscellaneous bits and
pieces that I really couldn't be bother to catalogue. I'd rather just
throw it all in the boot, take it along to a get together of fellow
enthusiasts and say "If you want it, its all yours".
Peter, Thanks for offering to organise a venue. But it will be rather
short notice, especially as I am in Hamilton & have a new baby that
takes up all my time. Its very hard to find the time (& get wifeys
permission) to take the car out for a 10min blat, let alone spending
half a day cruising up to Ak, having a natter, then cruising home again.
Perhaps if I knew that it wouldn't just be the four of us turning up,
I'd be able to wangle it. It is all about getting the cost (wifey will
make me pay!)to benefit(offloading stuff)ratio just right.
Maybe if we give people more time to get organised, we'd get better
numbers. Could even make a run out of it. Ak members could head south,
Waikato members head north, and meet up somewhere along the way
(Desperately trying to decrease my time away from home here!!).
