parts and rang me from on the road on the way back from Wellington to say he
was passing more MX5's than he thought existed, he said looked great. So I
assume it's the driver training day tomorrow. It's pissing down here in
Auckland tonight so hope it's fine for those guys tomorrow, mind you a wet
road driver training day would probably be better over all thinking about it.

yah, our MX3 is over 170k km, half of them "Japanese miles" I'm sure
<nudge nudge>. Smokes on a cold start now. Maybe it just feels slow
since the '5 is somewhat modified

Anyhow, the 2.5 litre KL-ZE Japanese market engine would be the hot
ticket if you're going to that much trouble!
Other funny thing - discovered oneof the gearheads at one of my
client sites has built a rotary MX5 ! Reckons the front cross member
needs to go fowards a bit and the tranny tunnel needs "slight
massaging" and that it wasn't too bad otherwise !! Sounded pretty
credible. I will try and bribe him with a ride in the money pit, see
if I can't get more details out of him ...
