I have installed the simple "flash to pass" diode mod which allows me
to "blink" my (NA) headlights raising them momentarily -- It is a neat
way to say "Hi" in passing to other MX5s. (
http://www.miata.net/garage/flash.html )
But I've recently heard that there is another mod available which has
the same effect but on only a single headlight... more of a "wink" than
a "blink" so-to-speak. Now I'm not sure I really want to do this one,
as it could be so easily misunderstood(!)... but I'm still curious.
Has anyone seen it, and/or know the details of this mod?

Single headlight "wink" mod?
Hi Ross
I too had fitted that mod and have found that if I apply just a little
pressure to the indicator stalk only one pops up (experienced this when
taking a round about a little quicker than intended and sort of clutching
for the indicator to signal my turn). Under normal use the flash to pass is
great.

Single headlight "wink" mod?
Paul,
Well, I've tried your technique out on my MX5 ... but with no success.
I can only surmise that you have one headlight motor a little more
sluggish to actuate than the other... and electrically it make no
sense, either, as the mod affects the whole circuit simultaneously...
maybe your MX5 is just a "natural flirt", and like "winking"!
cheers, Ross

There's quite a funny question and answer session here :

I wonder exactly how much downforce you'd need around some corners... .
.. . . who would have thought one rear wing could cause such a fuss...
Cheers,
Kleo.
