You just reminded me of something funny. Recently I wanted to buy a sub
woofer for my home theatre (which I would listen to after driving home in my

.Anyway having a background in electronics I'm a little obsessive about
researching before I buy such things. But almost every review of HiFi gear
gave a WAF rating (Hi, Medium or Low). I was at a total loss, I thought I
knew everything in this game... "What the hell is WAF". So using my friend
Google, I typed in "What is WAF", lucky for me many others had asked the
same question...So what is WAF...It has by far the biggest effect on the
purchasing of modern HiFi equipment in the modern world...
WAF = Wife Acceptance Factor.
