just like to agree with Chic Lynch's recommendation of the rd through the
Waipoua forest in Northland (http://www.mx5club.co.nz/info/roads.sht) -
totally fabulous drive (which btw is very twisty - you get a sign that says
"bends next 24 k" then it's 2nd gear 5000+ rpm all the way - but I'm sorry
the road's so much fun I never even saw the trees

(PS bottomed the car out on one corner and I now have an exhaust tail pipe
that's flat on the bottom)
