Hi there
I wonder if someone can help me, I have a Mariner Blue -90 MX5 at least I
think the colour is called that.
The sticker with the colorcode have disappeared from the firewall, and to day
I wanted to buy touch up paint and the paintshop would like to have the
colourcode to be able to mix the colour. So if someone have an idea what the
code is please let me know.

my thoughts would be to dispense with the colour code, and go to a place
that can mix to an exact colour. I'd take something like a mudflap or
mirror in to get then to match to it. The problem is also that if you mix
to a code, the paint may have faded, and the new batch may not match. (try
saying that 5 times fast)
If in Auckland, try Woodhead Panel and paint in Ellerslie. They're a club
sponsor.

John,
I would try Mazda, and see if they can supply you with a factory touch-up
bottle. I have one for the "classic red". Its a small bottle with brush
attached to cap, and a ball bearing inside to mix the paint up when you shake
it.
If they haven't got it ask if they'll import one for you. They have stuff
coming down from Japan all the time. Might have to talk to the spares people.

I've asked Mazda/Ford Recently. They are no longer stocking the older model
touch up paints - they do stock the current models however - and if the red
is the same, they will have it.
