Found the fog lights switch ($30 ouch!) and works great.
Does the 323 have the instrument cluster illumination resistor switch?

Phil,
The 323 resistor is completly different. I tried that. I bought a MX5 one from
the dealer. I have the part number somewhere if you want it.

Was passing a wrecker yesterday and picked up one. It's a long switch! Dont
know what is inside but I can see quite a bit of electronic parts. Anyway
works well, but cost $39 inc GST.

I TEND TO AGREE WITH FLETCH ON THIS ONE. BACK TRACK TO THE PLACE OF
PURCHASE. I WOULD ASSUME THE CAR WAS WARRANTED WHEN YOU PAID FOR IT.
MISLEADING INFORMATION AT THE TIME OF SALE IS ILLEGAL. THEY SHOULD FIX
THE PROBLEM. MY UNDERSTANDING IS THAT IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW LONG YOU
HAVE HAD THE CAR , OR HOW MANY TIMES IT'S BEEN PASSED. THE ONLY PROBLEM
YOU MAY HAVE IS PROVING THAT THE WORK WAS NOT DONE BY YOURSELF . THIS
COULD BE A STICKING POINT. HOW DO YOU PROVE IT WAS LIKE THAT WHEN YOU
BOUGHT IT SINCE IT HAS BEEN PASSED ???
LET US KNOW HOW YOU GET ON.

P.S - STILL WONDERING IF $650 + GST + 2 HOURS LABOUR FOR A DIFF REBUILD
IS OK. AND WHAT IS IT THAT GOES WRONG WITH THE LIMITED SLIP DIFFS ON THE
CARS ???

Luck Phil,
The resistor I tried must of been from an earlier 323. Your car is almost
complete now?

Well it has the gap for a rear window demiser switch and I can get on for $20,
but have only a soft top...wondering what I can use that for?
Why dont the fit the instrument cluster illumination resistor as standard?
What difference would braces make to ordinary road handling?
