Koni's for the MX5 come with 3 different positions for the spring perch, unless they
thishave changed, if your using stock springs i recommend using the bottom position
uselowers the car about 25mm without touching anything, if you use lowered springs
the top position also drops the car 25mm, if you go any lower you will be hitting
the bump stops, and dont forget to put the white nylon washer round the damper rod,
this is to ensure protection for the neck seal should the bumpstop hit on the top(
theyrubber could be forced down into the damper)
lowering springs i can recommend are Racing Beat or Trust, i have used both and
give you a reasonable ride.
Oh! and Koni's will outlast your car, dont know anyone whose worn them out yet on
an MX5.

I have just been pricing up adjustable Konis and new springs and every shop I've
spoken to has asked me if I plan to go racing, because if I'm not they say I'm wasting
my money on adjustable height shocks. They all reckon the lower spec Koni's with
