Morning,
My switch that changes which air vents the aircon comes out no longer
works...
After removing the center console I found around 3 shattered bits of
plastic , which once was the end piece of a bracket that held a cable
tight that was linked to the sliding switch.
Now the cable is just moving freely, so the switch doesn't pull the
cable and the vents don't change...
so In short
Does anyone have an idea of how I could attach the cable so it pulls
tight?
my best idea is some form of super glue, glueing the cable to a place
where that shattered bracket used to be...
or any idea where I could get an entire new bracket from...
(I think my radio installers shattered the bracket when they mst have
forced the radio back in)-- however its been a couple months and I
have only noticed the vent switch doesn't work- so i have no come back
there)
thanks
Rob

While I agree you may not get a result from them, I'd still at least
try to pin it on the installers.
Just because it took you a while to find out, doesnt mean they didnt
stuff up...
If that doesnt work... you're gonna have to find some pretty
impressive glue... the force required to move that cable is pretty
high. Cant think of any readily available glues that could handle it.
