anyone have one of these switches on their MX5? or know what it is for?

The switch on the right hand side of the steering wheel in the centre
position.
Question came up on the UK list, and I'm interested as to what it does. My
guess would be lock/unlock of doors.

Haven't got one of those, but having spent many years motoring in the UK I
would expect it to be fog lights, as they are virtually an essential piece
of equipment for winter motoring there.

I do have one of those switches and that's exactly what it operates - my
spots or fog lights.

bzzzzttt. All wrong including me. I guessed it probably wasn't rear fog or
front spot lights by the symbol on it - it is a lock for the windows. I
have just been told it disables both electric windows from working.
Why you would want to do this in a 2 seater I do not know. Now that I look
closely it does look a bit like a window symbol on it. And yes - it is a
factory switch.
