John - I've used black vinyl spray from Plasticote on a steering wheel. It
is find when there is minimal movement on the item, but lots of movement and
it can crack. i.e. it was fine on the wheel itself, but the center part that
comes off over the horn button (similar to the OEM MOMO) cracked badly, as
this was removed a few times. I have also heard that buffing the vinyl up a
bit with sandpaper can help it adhere. I'm pretty sure I got this from a
local Repco.
This is not quite the same as the fabric spray, but I have in the past used
the same fabric spray (Plasticote, black) on a small section of speaker box
carpet. This had no movement however, and you didn't have to sit on it...
so it held up fine, and looked really good.
How about writing up your report and emailing it to me so we can include it
on the web site and Top Down mag? Some photos would be good also if you
have them, otherwise Gary... if you do yours...?

zorruno,
Mine will be in summer, or at least spring I'm sure. Firstly I have to get
my car back, then I will need nice enough and still enough weather to take
the seats out and spray them ... and this is Wellington!
