Ray, I have the use of a hoist at work, and therefore have found that by
hitting the sill i can hear the offending object bouncing around in there. I
think it's a stone, and therefore non metalic (laughs) stone=metel, get it?
Today I repaired the problem with the slow electric windows, by fitting
factory relays out of a late model mazda 626. Now the windows work like new
(in fact better than). I had to dismantel the switch, and clean up the
carbon build up. They now work like they should!!!
thanks, glen

Yes I may have to resort to cutting the beast up!!
I have a rather good (tuned) ear for these things. and it may well be a hunk
of bog. i think the car is pretty straight though, (laughs).
The relay thing is simple, the plugs for the relay ('97 626) fit the mx5
plugs, (the ones under the gear-lever) and all you do is re-arrange the
wires a wee bit, and source power from the fuse panel, and earth from
somewhere.
has anyone ever cut into the panel behind the seats to install speakers,
(6x9) ???
