Sunday movie / blow-off valves / links

Post by peter » Mon Apr 09, 2001 10:42 am

Did anyone watch the Sky movie last night - "Go" about a group of Los Angeles supermarket workers and actors?
There was a very funny scene where two actors realise they can't fit a body into their trunk because the car is
a...Miata!

Does anyone know of a blow-off valve available for the manifold to keep pressure up? Supposed to make gear changing
easier...and keep revs up apparently.

this is a device for turbo charged vehicles. Quickly releases excess
pressure in manifold to allow turbine to spool up faster. Not much use on a
N/A car. some blowoff valves come with huge horns to make them sound really
loud for supposed coolness value. this is the big whoosh noise you hear
around gear changes on lowered skylines and subarus with lots of stickers
and tinted windows.

I've heard the US guys talk about it but didn't see it. If anyone has a
copy, we should put an AVI on the web site of this bit.
