98 MX5 in Herald for $23K

FYI there was a 1998 MX5 (new shape) with 6 speed in the NZ Herald this
morning for $23-24K.

Not much other info, but thought it was pretty cheap if anyone was looking.

It doesn't seem right - that's way too cheap. There's a similar car, also 6
speed, on a car yard here in Taupo for about $10,000 more. If anyone can buy
it for $23K, they've got a steal (or maybe that's what is was to start
with).

I certainly hope it's either a typo or stolen - I paid $10k more for a 5
speed 98 a year ago ;-(

I saw the ad for the '98 this morning too and rang them about it. The price
($23,995) is correct plus ORC of $500.

Its blue by the way.

Its done 95 k which is on the high side for the age but still worth a look
at that price!

gee the person who bought this car must have driven it almost non stop for

that's my kind of MX5 - driven at an average of about 100kms per day!
Maybe it was a taxi?...or maybe not

If it is blue, couldn't it only be a 10AE? What other blue was offered at
this time? (unless it is a respray)

Dark blue is one of the standard colours (twilight/starlight blue).

PS. There's a 99 blue in Kumeu for $28,000
