Adhesive to glue soft top strip

The strip of vinyl secured to and wraps around the center metal bar that
supports the soft top has separated from the inside of the soft top. It
not only creates an annoying flapping noise (the top shaking/vibrating) but
I suspect it also weakens the top. Has anyone ever had this problem? Is
there an adhesive I can use to glue it back to the top?

Bill,

I have done this in the past and have used a silicone sealant such as the
Selley's products. Its a bit messy to apply, and you need to put something
on the top to press down while it sets, but it didn't come unstuck over a
year or two.
