Headrest speakers

Post by john.bayliss » Wed Feb 07, 2001 10:11 am

I have some of these fitted as standard. I recently had a basic JVC CD player
put in to replace the old cassette player that didn't work, although the radio
did.

The speakers have blown and no just make farting noises in pace with the music.
Are these easy to replace?

Headrest speakers

Post by Bill Rehm » Wed Feb 07, 2001 10:52 am

There is a set of after market headrest speakers manufactured in the US
that are specifically designed for the MX5 which are supposedly extremely
efficient and reasonably priced (about $80US/set) and they can provide a
complete wiring harness as well (extra $$ for the harness). I believe they
are called Maxi's. Check the main US Miata website under speakers etc for
more information.
