Fabulous Time

Post by chrishoys » Tue Aug 27, 2002 8:52 am

Hi Everyone
I just wanted to let you all know what a fabulous Top Down day it is here in Taranaki (probably for most other areas too,) and if you didn't do the Top Down thing on the way to work you missed out on one of the best Top Down experiences you can have in the winter.
Do it sometime today if you can.
What a great way to start the day - I will smile at everyone now!

Share back if you had an experience like mine this morning!

Hi Fletch, I think that they do not promote cam changes so much in the
States because it doesn't give many HP per dollar. Especially when you
can buy a basic Greddy kit for US$1500. Granted there is nothing like the
feel of a well set-up NA motor, although the BR coldside sounds the
closest yet. All I need now is to hide NZ$2500 from my accountant (wife)!Lou

Not this morning, but Melanie and I had a really great top down run back
from Rotorua to Wellington the Saturday before last. Day started with no
wind and no clouds in the sky, just loved the drive to Taupo in those
conditions. Cloud built up a bit by Turangi and we were up in the cloud and
rain over the Desert Road, judging by the splashes on the windscreen it was
just about snowing (road got closed that night by snow). Had the heater at
max for the first time ever and it managed to keep the cold at bay. Pump
jockey at Waiouru gave us a funny look when we rolled up for petrol top
down after that though!
