Oil filter airflow (was: Re: Dyno result)

only guessing, but I think it would definitely be less efficient. Air needs
to flow directly through the fins.

some people duct air into theirs though which would help - i.e. install it
with airflow top to bottom via a custom made duct.

ps- does anyone know if an oil cooler works any less effieciently when

rotated 90 degrees (but still perpendicular to the airflow).

Have I missed something? What fins? What air flow?
Are we talking about an oil filter?
