A Hell of a Racket.

Thanks folks. My gut feeling Lou is that it is a belt. There is occasionally
a tappet "tap" for a moment or two but that is different. You know how the
old crossply (and some radials" get a flat on them when sitting for a time -
my mini tyres get something awfuilly flat when sitting. All the belts were
replaced by "Pitlane" at Onehunga when it was bought 15 K and 10 months ago
and it is likely that a belt which is OK in Auckland's heat is not quite so
good down south here. The bearings are my other fear having read on this list
of waterpump troubles at this mileage (142,000).
Any other opinions out there?
