Hi all,
I am busy trying to get the car prepared for the nationals. The turbo is finished and back from the chromers, the RX-7 diff is bolted up, but i have one question-
Has anyone ever destroyed the aluminum gearbox brace? Apparently it happens quite often??? Its pretty solid and the only way i could see how it would break is if the engine mounts were broken.
I am in the process of fitting ABS from a Subaru Legacy to try and keep it from falling off the road too easily. What an absolute nightmare!! Does anyone know if someone is wreaking a MK1 with ABS. I need the hubs from it, this would make the install alot easier.
Thanks
Steve

Hi Steve,
I've never heard of a PPF breaking, short of an accident. That's not to say it
can't happen though.
I'm wondering why you're going to ABS, most brake upgrades seem to be big
rotor conversions or late model brakes into earlier cars, eg. 1.8 onto 1.6 or
M2 sport brakes.
I'd try an upgrade before bothering with ABS, you'll find all the power and
modulation you need.
