MADMXV coming north!

Post by Tracey Gunn » Tue Jul 02, 2002 4:12 pm

Hi all,

Matt and I are leaving the balmy weather of Dunedin to reside in Auckland
in a couple of weeks. Firstly, we would like to thank all of those in the
Otago chapter for their hospitality for the two years we have been down
here. They are a tough bunch, braving frostbite and colds during the
winter and are a great (and diverse) group to go on runs with.

Secondly, to all those in Auckland - where are the permanent speed cameras
(not that we speed too much)! Also, if I could have some information as to
who to contact when we get up there, I would be grateful.

Watch out - the MADMXV is moving north!!!

MADMXV coming north!

Hi T & M
Matt and I are leaving the balmy weather of Dunedin
to reside in Auckland
umm - you think it will be different? ;)
to all those in Auckland - where are the permanent speed cameras
(not that we speed too much)!
fixed speed camera locations here
http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/ ... p-200.html
Also, if I could have some information as to
who to contact when we get up there, I would be grateful.
If I were you moving from Otago, I'd probably start by contacting a security
company (alarm for the house), getting a personal masseusse (stress relief
after the traffic), a psychiatrist (to talk about the traffic effects on
your life), your local body polititian (to complain about the roading
problems & its effect on the traffic), the telecommunications ombudsman (to
complain about Telecoms monopoly), the NZ Herald Editor & Newstalk ZB (to
complain about the traffic, telecom's monopoly, and the state of crime in
Auckland). Then I'd find a nice cafe on the waterfront, read Metro & have a
double trim decaffe mocha latte in a bowl. Welcome to Auckland ;) (*)

OR - If you wanted to say Hi, talk about MX5s and maybe arrange a spin with
a few other 5ers (if the weather holds out) give us a call. The number is
on the website

Hope to see you guys soon! & take care travelling up.

cheers
zorruno Fox (the northern zorruno)

(*) Disclaimer: all those who don't live in Auckland, and are thinking about
moving here - it is not really all that bad... truely. (BTW, I'm typing
this on my new Vodaphone WAP capable cellphone while stuck on the harbour
bridge in my MX5... my last phone was nicked)
