I am the person responsible for those "flamed" indicators, not to mention the yellow cobra stripes and the full yellow interior that goes with it. It was a bit of a boy racer phase I was going through. I like to be origional, and the fact that about 80% of people (didn't like it meant I wasn't likely to see any other Mx5's looking exactly the same. The thing that surprised me was that when I went to sell the car I thought I would have a very hard time finding a buyer with similar taste (or some would say "lack of"). The first person to see it was a housewife in her fourties and she wanted to buy it straight away but pulled out of the deal when her husband found a cheaper one. Then I finally sold it to a chap from Wellington who would have been in his Fifties. I felt sure that even though he told me he liked all the yellow bits, once he was back home the first thing he would do would be to remove them. So I was rather surprised to pass it on the motorway on Saturday still loo!
king exactly as it was when I sold it.

ps- I sold it in order to buy a 91 J-limited (In yellow of course)
