Can anyone recommend a good place to buy a left hand rear caliper from. Or
have a spare one lying around for sale.
The guy who laugh at me, failed to fix mine, and has since fully refunded
me, and im taking my business elseware. So i guess i got the last laugh in
the end.

A used one should be OK, but you should pull it apart, grease the moving
parts with brake grease, and check for corrosion. If you can't do that
yourself, then have you mechanic do it. Don't just fit it and assume it will
be OK. If its been sitting around there will be some corrosion.
