Those of you who don't live near Hamitron will probably not be aware that a local car yard recently held a promo that involved a yellow mx5. The vehicle in question was suspended from a crane 20m in the air. Entry to the competition was free, but you had to be on site when the competition was drawn. The catch was that if your name was drawn out you were given a choice of two buttons to push. If you pushed the correct button you got to drive away in the car. choose the wrong button and the car (supposedly) gets dropped off the crane. Quite a few waikato club members were there, like the vultures we are, thinking mainly about which parts of the dropped vehicle would still be salvageable. But as it turned out the vehicle was not dropped (I doubt that it was ever going to be) as a local club member had his name drawn out and now has another mx5 to add to his collection. Tinny B@stard!!!

Well I say good on him - I hope he has lots of enjoyment from his new yellow car!
Is the person in question subscribed to the list???
My hubby is so impressed with my CUTEMX, he is considering trading in his station wagon for one... now I am not too sure if he is serious (being a hairdressers car and all, which was his opinion when I bought it - he's dispelling that myth!)

The winner was Nigel Every, member of the MX 5 club in Hamilton. This now
gives him a collection of red, blue and yellow MX 5's. I did offer to take
it off his hands to avoid a parking problem at his place ( I only own 1),
but got no response. Now he has the problem of deciding which car(s) to
bring on the Waikato Mystery Run this coming Sunday. Congrats Nigel, you
Tinny Lucky B@stard.

Same car, different badge.

Well again Nigel, I say well done - it was great that it happened to an MX5
club member!

Perhaps you should take up your Gripe with Mazda, Japan as it was their decision over 12 years ago to market the MX-5 under the luxury chain of dealerships in Japan, EUNOS.
