Afternoon,
Just gotta tell you guys about the fantastic service I just got from City
Garage (auckland). I used the very wizzy search (thank you zorruno) on the
MX5 list archives and found City Garage had been recommended by a list
member.

Anyway... I had to get my car towed there because the slave cylinder was
ka-put and I couldn't even get it into gear.

That afternoon I picked up my baby, paid the $210 bill (including the tow
truck fee and GST!!) and she's as good as new.

I also got them to check my water pump because at my regular service
recently John Andrew Mazda had said I had "water pump seepage" and that I
should get it done "right away". Well, the guys at City Garage said they
couldn't see any signs of any leaking at all. Mazda also said my spare
(space saver) was flat but when I took it to the tyre place to get it fixed,
the guys there told me (and showed me) that there was nothing wrong with it.
Interesting...

Cheers,
Louisa
OTYGRL

P.S. I understand that Mazda have come to the party recently with some
fantastic specials for club members, which is great, but I hope this doesn't
mean we can't be honest about our encounters with them.

Hi there

Have also had a few interesting meetings with Mazda mechanics. Very high
cost , very poor service as far as I'm concerned. I will no longer use
the local guys. The cost to them is the people I tell.

Have you seen the certificates on the walls of all the qualifications
from Mazda. Trained the same , same results..

cheers

Thank you for feedback, I will pass the information on to the relevant people here at Mazda New Zealand.

I'm on my third MX5, I have had to replace the clutch slave cylinders on two of them!

Well, I had some great service from Avery Ford Wellington when getting my
exhaust replaced.
Just to show they're not all that bad ;)
