Adding a CD player to the standard radio?
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I have a red 93 Roadster and keep everything standard.
I want to add a CD player and the options appear to be:
1 Replace the head unit for a single CD player, in which case the head
unit will be silver, the current "look".
or
2 Add a changer that is compatible with the standard head unit.
Does anyone know if the standard unit will drive a changer? I have seen CD
units on better spec'd or later MX5's but cannot remember if they were the
standard.
Any other options gratefully received.

Heres a cheap option. I have a personal cd player with a velcro patch glued
to the back hanging to the left of the centre console on the top of the
carpeted area and hooked up to the tape by an adaptor. Works well and cost
little.
A typical Dunedin solution. Cheers Allan.
